With a background in applied physics and science communication, David founded SciCommerce with one vision: help companies bring their science and technology closer to the public.

He has pursued an interdisciplinary understanding of the natural sciences. A avid metrologist, he has spent time in laboratories working on photonics and optoelectronics, neuroscience, structural virology, atmospheric physics, and glaciology. He has engineered and developed hardware and software solutions, tutored Bachelor’s and Master’s students, and contributed to numerous publications. He is a polyglot, multi-instrumentalist composer and producer, and a great cook.

Participation in the prestigious LIYSF as a young scientist sparked his passion for science communication. Becoming part of the organising staff was his first hands-on experience in science education and communication. Years later he would earn a homonymous master’s degree from Utrecht University, whose pay-off “Sharing science, shaping tomorrow” greatly inspired the genesis of SCICommerce.

Nurtured by his optimistic outlook on humanity, and surrounded by a strong network of leading experts in a broad variety of fields, David is ready to lead the charge and elevate your organisation to the next level.
